We are open to anyone keen to learn waka and  kapa haka, or just be part of a great whanau community. 

WAKA AMA (OUTRIGGER CANOE)

At Aloha Sea Sports Center (East Coast Park) we have a great stretch of water to explore!

  • 2  OC2 (Gemini) 

  • 2 V1's

  • Rack space for your own single craft

You can join social paddles but also prepare for exciting local or international competitions.

MEMBERSHIP

  • ADULT : S$400 annually (starting from Aug 1st)  / S$230 semester (renewal from Feb 1st)

  • FAMILY (2 adults + kids under 18 ) : S$800 annually

  • YOUTH (under 18) : S$150 annually / S$90 semester

TRAININGS

  • TUESDAY to THURSDAY :  start 6pm 
     

  • FRIDAY : start 6am 
     

  • SATURDAY, SUNDAY : from 8am

Join a free trial session!​

  • Learn the basic stroke techniques and water safety procedures​

  • Make sure you are injury-free 

  • Non-swimmers must wear a life vest on the canoe

  • Stay hydrated and protected by applying sunscreens, recommending long-sleeved top to wear on the canoe

  • Youth under18 year-old must be accompanied by a legal guardian

Discover Kapa Haka

All our members are invited to learn the traditional Māori performing arts of Kapa Haka (dance) and Waiata (songs) 

 

Kapa Haka is performed during special events and festivals and a way the club brings this cultural experience to Singapore.

 

KWA Kapa Haka group has performed at various events in Singapore, including the Kiwi Ball, New Zealand Chamber events, and more.
